Microstock Photography Blog

Hello,

my name is Zdenka. I’m a 31 years old photographer, blogger, wife, and mom of a beautiful boy and a lover of all the simple but amazing things in life. I have always been passionate about photography. However, my passion truly took off in 2010 when I started working as a cabin crew for Emirates Airline. After purchasing my first full frame camera, I started taking pictures of all the places I visited and all the things I liked and wanted to remember. Because my photos were lacking a technical quality, in 2012 I´ve decided to take a course on Digital Photography with Lotus Institute in Dubai, UAE. The knowledge I had received during the course was the first step to build up my skill set in order to become a professional photographer.

Fast forward, I resigned and settled back in my home country Slovakia. I got married with my long-term boyfriend and after a while, we had our beautiful son. Determined to follow my lifetime passion, I started making photo-shoots of families, children and weddings. During this period I came across microstock agencies. Although the competition is really high and it is quite difficult to make living solely from selling photos on microstock sites, I literally became obsessed with everything related to microstock. So you will find all kinds of useful tips and information here which include creating an account on microstock site, planning a photo shoot as well as finding models through editing, keywording and uploading and everything in between.I´m learning something new about photography every single day, however, I have quite an experience and knowledge about microstock photography and so I hope that the information you find here will help you to build up a rewarding microstock portfolio.
